113 Bourbon Becomes Everyday Offering

13th Colony Distilleries is moving its fan-favorite 113 Bourbon Finished With Maple Wood Spirals from limited release to an everyday pour, making it available year-round as part of the distillery’s core portfolio. The decision reflects both overwhelming demand from whiskey enthusiasts and the company’s mission to craft spirits that fans truly enjoy.

Aged five to six years in South Georgia’s distinctive climate and finished with toasted maple wood spirals, 113 Bourbon delivers a unique layer of flavor that sets it apart from traditional bourbons. Unlike used maple syrup barrel finishes, the wood spirals, which are specially cut to maximize surface area, rest directly in the whiskey, allowing natural maple notes to integrate with the bourbon’s rich character.

“We’ve been humbled by the reception 113 Bourbon has received since its debut earlier this year,” said Maxwell Darby, president of 13th Colony Distilleries. “This expression showcases the depth and character that South Georgia’s climate brings to aging, enhanced by the innovative use of maple wood spirals. Making it available every day means more whiskey lovers can share in what has quickly become a fan favorite.”

At 113 proof, the bourbon strikes a balance between strength and approachability. Tasting notes include light caramel, marshmallow, and clover honey on the nose, followed by sweet corn, butter cookie, and lemon peel on the palate. Smoky oak and bittersweet chocolate from the maple finish round out a warm, lingering spice. The mash bill features 70% corn, 21% rye, and 9% malted barley.

Launched initially as a limited allocation, 113 Bourbon now joins 13th Colony’s year-round lineup alongside its Southern Bourbon, Southern Rye, Southern Vodka and Southern Gin. The expansion continues the distillery’s tradition of crafting award-winning whiskeys that embrace innovation without compromising authenticity.
