13th Colony Announces New Limited Release Barrel Aged Gin
July 12, 2024

Americus, Ga. – This month 13th Colony Distilleries released for distribution 2,352 bottles of their new Barrel Aged Gin. Aged one year in a used 13th Colony Rye Whiskey barrel, the 115 proof special release of 13th Colony Barrel Aged Gin is available now at retail across Georgia, at 13th Colony’s tasting room, and online through Seelbach’s.
“If you love whiskey, this is the one gin you have to try,” said Maxwell Darby, president of 13th Colony Distilleries, one of the fastest growing distilleries in Georgia. “Our new Barrel Aged Gin is the perfect marriage of a citrus-forward gin with all the caramel and campfire smoke flavors that embody a perfectly smooth whiskey.”
Crafted for sophisticated gin and whiskey drinkers alike, 13th Colony Barrel Aged Gin is aged for a full year in used rye whiskey barrels, resulting in a richer color and a more robust flavor and character than other barrel aged gins on the market. 13th Colony Barrel Aged Gin delivers notes of root beer, campfire smoke, caramel, citrus, cloves and light juniper for a unique experience on ice or in your favorite cocktail.
13th Colony Barrel Aged Gin is part of the company’s successful limited edition series, including the immensely popular Double Oak Bourbon (this year’s release coming October 2024). The bourbon community has embraced 13th Colony’s special releases, with accolades such as Double Platinum at the 2023 Ascot Awards and a thriving secondary market presence, with some bottles fetching more than $1,000.
