13th Colony Expands to Michigan

13th Colony Distilleries, the oldest operating distillery in Georgia since Prohibition, is expanding into Michigan in May, growing the availability of its craft-aged spirits to enthusiasts in 14 states.

Imperial Beverage will distribute 13th Colony in Michigan, bringing whiskey enthusiasts in the Great Lakes States the craft distillery’s unique flavors. The family-owned and operated distillery is located in south Georgia, where an ideal climate has helped age award-winning spirits for 16 years. 13th Colony’s master distiller tastes every barrel of whiskey to ensure it meets the distillery’s high standards, blending 4-, 5-, and 6-year-old barrels into each batch for a perfect balance of flavor.

13th Colony Southern Bourbon is a multiple award-winning aged spirit. Bottled at 95 proof, it has a well-rounded flavor with a slightly sweet finish. The award-winning 13th Colony Southern Rye Whiskey walks the line between sweet and salty, drawing its character from the unique toasted French Oak Spiral Finish. Michigan will also enjoy 13th Colony’s limited-edition Cask Strength Southern Bourbon, the distillery’s flagship Southern Bourbon at cask strength. Cask Strength is being released in May to limited retailers.
