2026 Double Oaked Bourbon Single Barrel Lottery

For just the second time ever, we’re setting aside a Single Barrel of our famed Double Oaked Bourbon for a one-of-a-kind pour. This barrel is one of the oldest barrels in our rickhouse – aged 11 years and bottled at a bold 141.6 proof. Its flavor profile is the epitome of aging bourbon in South Georgia, and we’re putting 150 bottles in a Lottery for whiskey lovers to experience something truly special.

The lottery entry period is over, and winners will be notified by email on May 13, 2026.

 

2026 DOUBLE OAKED SINGLE BARREL TASTING NOTES

Nose | Warm figs and dark syrup lead with layers of toasted marshmallow and a touch of sweet mesquite smoke. Hints of meringue and coconut cream add a soft, confectionery lift.

Taste | Rich and indulgent with dark chocolate cake batter and nougat up front. Roasted fruit syrup and brown butter bring depth, balanced by toasted walnuts.

Finish | Long and composed, with less heat than expected for 141 proof. Notes of warm honey, toffee, and a touch of cherry linger with a refined sweetness.

LOTTERY RULES

  • Number of Entries: Entries are limited to one (1) entry per person. (Name and date of birth will be cross referenced to eliminate duplicate entries.)
  • Entry Period: The sweepstakes entry begins at noon ET on April 29, 2026 and ends at noon ET on May 12, 2026. No exceptions.
  • Drawing:  On May 13, 2026, 13th Colony will randomly select 150 winners who will be given the opportunity to purchase the Single Barrel Double Oak Bourbon during a designated purchase window. Winners will be notified via email and must visit 13th Colony Distillery in Americus, GA, in person to purchase the 2026 Double Oak Bourbon Single Barrel beginning at noon ET May 13, 2026 through 4 p.m. ET September 5, 2026.  The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries.
  • Purchase Window:  Winners may purchase one (1) bottle of 13th Colony Doubled Oak Bourbon between noon ET May 13, 2026 until 4 p.m. ET September 5, 2026 during Distillery hours.  (See Distillery Hours)
  • Pick Up Requirements:  Winners must appear at 13th Colony during the Purchase Window. Winners must present an ID that matches the first and last name and date of birth of the submitted entry. If a winner cannot make it in person to purchase the prize, they are allowed to send a proxy who meets our prize claim requirements as follows:
  • Proxy Requirements: 
    1. Winner must email 13th Colony at customerservice@thirteenthcolony.com stating they are designating a representative to come purchase their bottle. The winner must provide their designated representative’s full name, email and date of birth.
    2. Winner’s representative must be at least 21 years old and bring a copy of their own ID (matching the information submitted by the winner) and a photocopy of the winner’s ID (matching the winning entry).
  • Eligibility: The Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are at least twenty-one (21) years old.
  • Unclaimed Bottles: If, for any reason, a winner does not purchase their bottle of the 13th Colony Double Oaked Bourbon Single Barrel release within the timeframe designated in the rules, the UNCLAIMED BOTTLE WILL NOT BE AWARDED. 13th Colony reserves the right to sell the product at a later date.
  • There will be no in-store distillery release: Please do not make plans to travel to the distillery in anticipation of purchasing a bottle unless you have been selected as a lottery winner. There will be no in-store distillery release.
  • Publicity Release: By entering this contest, participants agree that if selected as a winner, the sponsor may publicly announce their name (first initial/last name) and general location (e.g., city and/or state) for promotional purposes, including but not limited to the sponsor’s website, social media channels, email communications, and other marketing materials, without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.
  • Email Communication: By entering this contest, participants agree to be added to 13th Colony’s Insider community email list to receive Insider information about 13th Colony distillery and spirits. Recipients may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link provided in each email.
